This course gives a sound basic knowledge of nutrition, and also includes current School Food Standards, catering for the elderly, custodial settings, work canteens, restaurants etc.

Course duration: 6 hours.
Assessment method: Multiple-choice examination.

A copy of the Nutrition First Principles course book complements the course.

This course is held at the Switch Training facility in Malmesbury. The training is provided by Plan B (UK) Ltd.

Workshops

Also available, from Plan B (UK) Ltd., are workshops, to provide training and enable management, proprietors or supervisory staff to use a Food Safety Management System and to fulfil the requirements of your next visit from a local authority enforcement officer, suitable for either catering or retail businesses.

This can be run as a 3-hour evening workshop, for which a "Safer Food, Better Business" pack will be provided and a personalised certificate of attendance will be awarded.
