Moving and Handling

This course gives people at work the knowledge they need to prevent back and other injuries. They will explore the principles of moving and handling with practical instruction on inanimate loads. Additional subjects will include health and safety legislation and risk assessment.

The course content includes:

• Back care and the spine
• Manual handling legislation

The course is assessed by continuous assessment and a multi-choice questionnaire. A certificate is awarded for successful completion of the course.
