Switch Training safeguarding children courses deal with the most important aspects of safeguarding children and are based on a National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) publication entitled A Shared Responsibility and the five outcomes of Every Child Matters.

Level 1 Safeguarding Children provides up to date information and background for anyone who works with children and will give them the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to concerns about children's well-being.

Level 2 Safeguarding Children is for those who have a greater interest or are more involved in the process of safeguarding children. This course builds on Level 1 and delegates should have attended the Level 1 course or equivalent. It covers the process following a referral of a concern and the contributions you may be asked for, in line with current guidelines.

Level 3 Safeguarding Children is for those staff who either are, or will become, the Designated Person, with specific responsibility for safeguarding children. This course builds on both Levels 1 and 2 and delegates should have attended both these levels previously. The course covers the safe recruitment process as well as the role of the Designated Person. It also covers the strategy discussion that may take place within the process.
